Nathan Grantham

Status: Deceased
Nathan was the most bitter and richest member of the family. He earned his millions through smuggling and murder for hire. However he did have a normal legal business and made a lot of investments. Really, Nathan Grantham was a cold hearted man who thought his family were a pack of vultures just waiting to get their hands on his money. Nathan has had many attempts on his life before, by unknown assailants (most likely Dorien). He simply would not die. Sylvia believed he made a deal with the Devil. Nathan had a stroke at 94 and Bedelia nursed him full time, she married a man named Howard, however Nathan had him murdered. Bedelia found it hard to cope. One Father’s day he was shouting loudly for his cake and called Bedelia a bitch, Bedelia went mad and killed him by bashing his head in with a marble ashtray. Sylvia made his death look like an accident. His family now have read his will and are living of his money. His grave is in the manor’s garden alongside many other family members.
Dorien Green
Status: Unemployed
Dorien is a bitchy, sex obsessed snobby Jew. Dorien used to live in chigwell with her working class neighbours, Tracey and Sharon. Dorien is known for her expensive taste in fashion and organises Grantham events etc. She is very well known in the community. Dorien is known to be very snobby towards almost everything. She always flirts with younger men. She is married to a wealthy businessman named Marcus, even though she has countless affairs. Dorien is one of the most popular Grantham's, she used to be manager of classy cars but got ''bored'' and passed it on. Chilsren are petrified of Dorien. Dorien loves looking glamorous and keeping the 'top class' image, spare no expense.
Sylvia Grantham
Status: Retired
Although she is the niece of the sensitive Bedelia Grantham, Sylvia is a typical money grabber. Any sniff of a will and Sylvia will be there. She lives in Fareham at Grantham house with her nephew Richard and niece Cass and Cass’s husband Henry. However, the 4 of them stay at Stoneview manor every weekend. Sylvia is described as a lazy, snobbish, fortune obsessed witch by local residents. She has received a great deal of money from Nathan Grantham himself, and won an extra £20,000 in the casino and said that she would give it to charity, but she lied and kept it and said it was stolen. She has been known for her cruel blackmailing and her wicked schemes in her younger years but now she is retired and living a quiet life of greed and power and tries keeps a low profile. She is generally harmless, but still has a sharp mind. She helped Bedelia make Nathan's death look like an accident, she put the murder weapon (the ashtray) back in place and turned Nathan's chair over to make it look as if Nathan took a 'bad fall' She is probably the most snobbish, arrogant and most stuck up member of the family. She has now earned the title for the resident Bitch.
William Grantham
Status: Retired
William was Nathan’s son. William is a normal, happy, thoughtful member of the family. He used to work in politics in Westminster alongside Winston Churchill and he is feels very passionate about polotics. William and Winston Churchill look like each by complete coincidence. William is married to Georgina Grantham. During their retirement William bought him and his wife a mansion in Hampshire. William has no evil history like the devious Dorian Green. He is probably one of the nicest members of the family. However he despises the current Prime Minister Gordon Brown, William calls him an ‘’ incompetent poo poo head’’. He was arrested and fined for trying to set Gordon Brown on fire. Apart from that he is a jolly good fellow. William still continues to vote Conservative. William never really spoke to his father due to William being away at Westminster most of his life.
Georgina Grantham
Status: Retired, Environmental Warrior
Georgina is the wife of William Grantham and is a kind talkative, easy going woman. She is clever with computers and finds technology fascinating. She enjoys playing on her laptop and game consoles such as the Xbox 360 Elite. She is often on her laptop at Stone View Manor surfing the web. Georgina is not happy that William has a car but understands they have to travel long distances sometimes, so they need it. She is not a money grabber like some of her other relatives. She enjoys celebrations and travelling. She also enjoys taking part in environmental protests. She is very thoughtful for the environment However one day she went too far and drove a truck into Downing Street and hit a car and two MP’S who were seriously injured, however they did survive. Georgina did manage to escape. Georgina still continues to vote Green.
Fredrick Fat
Status: Retired
Fredrick used to work as a manager of an antique shop in Surrey. He insists that he went back in time and travelled on the RMS Titanic. Dorien was slightly rude and said he sunk the Titanic due to his weight. Fredrick loves chocolate and whenever it is in his sight he will chase after it. However one summer day he saw a 6 year old girl eating a chocolate bar and jumped on her in an attempt to get the chocolate. She was knocked out and was in a coma for two weeks. The doctors say it was a miracle she survived. Fredrick was never caught though. He is rather eccentric and sometimes has mad visions and halusinations which results in him insulting his family. He hates 'hoodies' and gangs of 'yob', whenever he spots hoodies or yobs he begins whacking them with is caine (Georgina and William join in aswell) One day Sylvia said ''Fat is a rude, piggish sellfish old man who needs to hurry up and die.'' Fredrick later began chasing Sylvia around the house with a shovel. Fredrick is a nice enough man, just don’t have chocolate on your person when he is close by or you will have a 90% chance of death.
Charmaine Grantham
Status: Hairdresser
Charmaine is one of the youngest members of the family. Charmaine lives in her luxury flat in Hampshire and is a part time hairdresser. Although she recieved a lot of wealth from old Nathan she still wants to continue with her job. Charmaine and Cass used to get into a lot of bitchy fights when they were younger but not anymore. Charmaine is a strong and independent person. Once, Sylvia said that Charmaine will never get a man to marry like Cass has behined Charmaine's back. However, Charmaine overheard and in revenge, she stole Sylvia's favourite saphire ring, sold it and kept the money to herself. Charmaine has a nice heart, but just don't wind her up or her devious sly side comes into play...
Linda La Hughes
Status: Receptionist
Linsa was brought up in a more working class family in South London. She then moved into a flat with her flatmate Tom Farrel in Kentish Town, North London. Linda thinks she is stunningly beautiful even though she is incredibly ugly. Linda was over the moon when she discovered her great great uncle Nathan left her a great deal of money. She has kindly given some to her flatmate, her father and is spending the rest on clothes and world peace. Linda sometimes visits her family at stoneview manor but can be very loud and wild. She sometimes flirts with Hank much to his fear and Cass's annoyance. Cass told Linda to ''Get out or get pretty'', Linda later insulted Cass by calling her ''Lesbo''. As she does with so many other pretty women.
Patsy Stone
Status: Stylist
Patsy is an alcoholic. She believes a bottle a day keeps frowns away. She enjoys spending her money on booze cruises, and clothes. Patsy stays up most nights drinking and partying and wakes up in strange places such as skips and the roofs of skyscrapers, much to her confusion. She continuously says ‘’what’’ after everyone speaks much to the family’s annoyance. However Patsy is a intersting person to get to know, you just need to be patient with her. She can be rather rude and anti social, and gets into a lot of trouble with her close friend Edwina. Patsy easily makes enemies, so don't get on the wrong side of her.
Mary Schnazbit
Status: Gardener
Mary is a quiet yet hard working person. She can be a bit boring sometimes when the family get together. Sylvia says, ‘' all she does is sits in the corner reading about carnivorous plants’’. (Mary later put her middle finger up at Sylvia much to her shock). Mary is highly knowledgeable about horticulture. Her bright yellow VW Beetle scares Fredrick and causes him to run in sheer terror, much to Mary's confusion but profound amusement. She enjoys planting flowers outside stone view manor and spending her fortune at B&Q. Nathan Grantham gave her a good amount of money due to her great loyalty and trust.
Bedelia Grantham
Status: Retired
Bedelia is the Daughter of Nathan Grantham and Aunt of Sylvia Grantham. She nursed Nathan after he had a stroke at 84, however she could not cope and went mad at Nathan after he was shouting and screaming for his Father’s day cake and repeatedly calling her a ‘’Bitch’’ and a ‘’Vulture’’. She came out of the kitchen and picked up a marble ashtray and bashed his head in with it, killing Nathan. Sylvia fixed the whole thing by making Nathan's death look like a tragic accident, so Sylvia could have a share of Nathan's money. Bedelia often visits stone view manor to visit Nathan’s grave and ‘mourn’ her father. However she really speaks negative of him. Although it’s been many years since Nathan died, Bedelia is still very unstable. Bedelia lost her husband,Yarbro, after he apparently died in a terrible 'accident' She is 100% certain that her father had him murdered. She is currently living at West view Mansion, 6 miles from Stone View. Strong Rumours are going around that Bedelia killed Nathan. Although everyone is quite certain Bedeilia killed Nathan, there is no evidence to prove she killed him, and most of the Grantham's despised Nathan anyway and don't really care wether she killed him or not. Bedelia owned Stoneview manor after Nathan died but decided to pass it onto Sylvia.
Kathy Wright
Status: Dancer & Singer
Kathy is the long lost Australian relative who was discovered by Dorian and her 22nd husband on their Australian fact finding tour. Kathy was eager to move to England after the tragic loss of her husband Dave. She received £250,000 life insurance after his death much to Sylvia’s suspicions. However Dave’s death was a genuine accident. Now she is fitting in with the family very well and is finding England fantastic. Kath is a down to earth woman with a kind heart and wants a pet pig called Michael much to the family’s confusion.
Dee Smith
Status: Retired
Dee is a calm, patient and sweet woman. She enjoys game shows such as Deal or no deal and Countdown. Her favourite country is Egypt. Syliva describes Dee by saying ''Silly old lady with a crystal ball and a packet of secret cigarettes, all she does is pretsnd to be nice, she's only after money.'' Dee doesn’t often visit the family at stone view manor but always attends their annual dinner. She sometimes helps Mary plant flowers at the Manor’s garden and she and Bedelia are the only people who visit Nathan’s grave. Fredrick Fat believes Dee is planting giant Venus Flytraps in the Manor’s garden so she can take over the world (much to the family’s doubts). Dee insists she is not. She says she wouldn’t dream of doing anything so destructive. Dee enjoys chatting to the maid (Mrs Danvers). Dee wants to travel more around the world with her husband, George to see more of nature’s true beauty.
Richard Grantham
Status: Writer
Richard is the nephew of Sylvia Grantham and Brother of Cass Blaine. He is very lazy and spends most of his time drinking wine and bitching about local residents. He, and Cass have lived at Grantham house since they were children and were raised by their Aunt Sylvia. Richard enjoys attending the upper class weekly krokae club with William and Fredrick every Thursday afternnon whilst Sylvia has the 'hard task' of taking scores. Richard is well known for hogging the bar and drinking whisky all the time, much to Sylvia’s annoyance. Richard has so far written 9 fictional books and an autobiography.
Cass Blaine
Status: Married
Cass is niece of Sylvia and Sister of Richard and wife of Henry, or 'Hank' as she nicknames him. Henry and Cass got married in new year 2007. Cass is a typical spoilt brat who screams and shouts when she wants something. She fusses about dinner, moans about the temperature, and is always breaking the Grantham rules. She enjoys dancing with Henry to 80’s pop music, such as 'don't let go', much to Sylvia’s annoyance. Cass always clings onto Henry and if he disappears out of her sight than Cass gets frustrated. Cass inherited a great deal of money from Nathan Grantham and spent a fair amount of it on the wedding. She lives in Fareham at Grantham house with her husband 'Hank', her Aunt Sylvia and Brother Richard.
Henry ‘Hank’ Blaine
Status: Married
Henry is a kind and thoughtful young man. He can get very shy around the family though. Georgina always talks to him about the environment to Henry and Dorian is continuously talking seductively to him, much to Henry’s fear and Cass’s annoyance. Henry enjoys dancing after a few drinks. He finds it hard and nerve racking to be formal around a much upper class family. Henry is very kind around the Grantham’s and usually escorts the older folk to their cars. Henry bought a mazda MX5 Convertible for Cass as a wedding present, much to her delight. Henry lives with Cass, Sylvia and Richard at Grantham house because Cass wishes to still stay with her Aunt and Brother. Henry eventually agreed to Cass's request.
Vera Baker
Status: Beautician
Vera is the long lost American cousin from New York. As soon as she found out about Nathan’s will she immediately got the first flight to England. Vera is a kind and patient woman. She is always very calm in difficult situations and is never stressed. She enjoys having conversations with the family and always has a huge smile on her face. Whenever she visits the Grantham’s every Saturday morning, she always reads the family’s stars on the astrology page of Stone View weekly magazine. She loves animals and now she has received a good fortune she wants to buy a large brown horse and a new 4x4 to go with her BMW.
Jim Tuck
Status: Retired
Jim is an energetic, sex obsessed man with a kind heart. Jim lives in a lovely village in Hampshire in Tuckworth house. Jim is known for his famous catchphrase, ''It's awright on a saturday night''. He can be rude and when the family start dancing he jumps on the dining table and starts singing 'oh happy day'. Sylvia describes him as a ''Filthy 3rd class pervert.'' (Jim later chased Sylvia around stoneview manor for two hours whilst the family were eating their late night supper). Overall Jim is a nice man but can get very hyper after a few drinks.
Major Gowen
Status: Retired
Major Gowen is an old, somewhat senile ex-soldier who holds a permanent residence in Fawlty Towers hotel. He enjoys talking about the world outside (especially the crickett scores and bemoaning workers' strikes) and is always on the lookout for the newspaper. He seems to have trouble forgiving the Germanss due to the World Warss. In the episode "The Germanss," he distinguishes at length between West Indianss, who he refers to as "niggerss", and Indianss, who he refers to as "wogs". The Major often hangs around the bar, as Sylvia said rather viciously, he is a drunken old sod. Despite this, most staff and residents tend to think of him in a fond manner.
Alice Richards
Status: Retired
Alice is a very stubborn and fussy woman. She expects things to be done her own way. She is very strict about money. For example she wanted to sell her old house to buy a larger one after Nathan died and a man offered her £89,000, however Alice was adiment that she wanted £90,500 and not a penny less. The family can get easily frustrated with Alice becuase she is slightly deaf and can't understand what people are saying and she demands them to speak up. Alice can be slightly forgetfull and cannot remeber where she put things so she accuses other people of stealing them. You have to be patient and brave to get to know Alice Richards.
Gloria Grantham
Status: Retired (Helps out in local bar)
Gloria is Dorien's nicer sister. Although they have a similar fashion sense, their personalities have a great contrast. Gloria lives in Fareham in her deluxe home alongside her other family decendants. Gloria's favourite songs are 'everybody hurts' by REM and 'Mad World' by Gary Jules. Sylvia thinks those songs are as ''boring as her life''. Gloria thinks they have a profound touch, reaching inside the true emotion. Gloria is a very nice person and is not as dangerous as her younger sister. However when Gloria helps out in the local bar, if there ignorant customers she does not like, Gloria puts specific poisons in their food and drink which cause them to be very ill later on.
Rubie Armstrong
Status: Retired
Famously known by the family as Auntie Rubie. Rubie is a very kind hearted easy going woman. She enjoys company very much. She always attends family gatherings whenever she can. She never moans and complains like her other relatives. She enjoys sitting in the armchair in the living room at stoneview manor drinking sherry and discussing the past. She loves attending family day outs. She even agreed to visit Thorpe Park in the summer with polite confidence.
Pauline Harris
Status: Air Hostess
Pauline is a typical gold digger. She would not think twice about killing a man for his money. Her first victim was a man called Bobby Finch who ended up in the local cemetary 10ft underground. Then she married an american chap who 'kicked the bucket' aswell. Pauline then gets her blood money from the life insurances. Things took a slight change when she met a man known as 'Del Boy' from Peckham. Her and Del met 12 years ago and decided to get back together. However Del's brother knew that Pauline is a cold-blooded killer. Not long later, Del announes to his Grandad and brother that he and Pauline are engaged to be married and that she is going to be living with them. His grandad and brother decided to leave to their Aunt's for 5 days. Suspicious of Pauline's cooking, Del fled his flat alongside his brother and grandad. Del tells his brother that he has left Pauline his eviction notice. ''My dearest darling Pauline. The engagement's off, the wedding's off, and as you can gather from this letter, I'm off. I'll give you five clear days to get out of the flat and do not ever come back, you money-grabbing old murderess! All my love, Del Boy''. A week later, the Trotters return home to their flat to see that Pauline cleaned it and left a letter for Del before she left informing him she'd dialed the speaking clock in America, risking a huge telephone bill for Del. Del may have escaped from death, but Pauline will always be on the prowl for her next victim...
Tammy Evinson
Status: Actress
Tammy is a highly acceptional young girl, who is enjoying life. She has always wanted to be an actress ever since she was a little girl. She can be a very respectable person, however there is Cass blood in her. She gets her father to pay her to travel business or first class at all times, and is constantly given money for Tammy's own leisure. (As she is rarely given any acting work). Tammy is a very demanding one sometimes. When something is happening she demands to be the first to know what's going on. Overall she is a polite young woman, but still has the darker Grantham streak in her...
Margot Kimmer
Status: Set Designer
Sister of Elizabeth, Margot is a strong independent woman. She works in theatre's and is very organised and in control of things. Whenever there is a task or job to be done, you can be sure Margot will be there to help. She gets along well with the everyone, especially the younger generation as she works with them at her job. Margot is a very wise woman and is interested in history and art. William believes Margot is a terminator sent to destroy the Grantham's much to the family's doubts.
Emma Grantham
Status: Unemployed
Emma is a passionate singer and is always singing at family gatherings singing songs like, 'you raise me up'. She believes she has a wonderful voice when infact she has a terrible singing voice. Even though she was told this by Simon Cowell when she failed her audition on Britain's got talent, but she still carry's on singing. Emma can be very self opiniated and is very arrogant. She always slags of other younger singers, saying they have terrible voices. Some people say Emma is dilluded. Emma beleives when people cry after they hear het sing, they're crying in amazement over her wonderful voice, when infact it's the other way round.
Roseanne Todd
Status: Fitness Instructor
Roseanne is a sports freak, but is very kind hearted. She is a little bit crazy sometimes. She does facial excersises with the family sometimes, but they alaways laugh at her face. Roseanne has done many excersise videos. She enjoys taking an early morning jog round the grantham manor before they're summer outing. Roseanne is a very healthy woman and encourages everyone different ways to be fitter. Suprisingly, William Grantham is the most determined member to do excersises, but can't resist a good Mint choc chip double choc cake.
Gwyneth Marichi
Status: Health worker
Well known for her knowledge of witchcraft, Gwyneth peforms in variety shows as a witch to entertain people. Like Emma, she also auditioned but failed. As revenge, she came back on stage and cursed the judges. Gwyneth has cursed people before when they wouldn't do as she says. For example, she's cursed, shop keepers who wouldn't refund her, restaurants that are full, rude youths etc. Sometimes her curses do work. Away from the world of dark magic, Gwyneth enjoys theatre and is a very determined person who is willing to take on any challenge, and is a generally posotive person, just don't make her CURSE YOU!
Michael (Michelle) Taylor
Status: Unemployed
Michael is a (rather unconvinsing) Transvestite, and prefers to be called Michelle. Michelle is a very thoughtfull and spiritual member, but when people make rude remarks, Michael takes over and gets nasty. Kathy is the only memeber who beleives Michael is a genuine woman. Michaelle is a very confident person, and his favourite item of clothing is bra's.
Libby Reid
Status: Appealing Student
Libby is a 2 year old Genius! Her inspirations are Albert Einstein and Charles Darwin. Her intelligence is mysterious and unexplained. Adopted by the Grantham's, Libby loves exploring the house and sketching parts of the garden, as she is a very keen artist. She loves sealife, as she says ''the underwater world has a sublime beauty, which mankind a species can scarsely comprehend'' Michelle takes her to rugby games. Libby finds the Stoneview rugby club are strong on power but lack the delicate aglilty and finesse to ultimatley fulfill their potential.
Karla Grantham
Status: Student
Karla is 20 year old Student, and is exceptionally bright. She spent her youth privately educated and it shows indeed. Her vocabulary is perfect with a capital P. She gets on well with everyone in the family, surprisingly. She attends singing lessons every week, and has a keen interest in acapella.
Jenny Rosette le'bloom Grantham
Jenny or, 'Big Jen' as Michael likes to call her is larger than life, and is a very strong and confident woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. She loves attending family trips to the Opera, and is the photographer on the family annual outings to Thorpe Park.
